Fieldwork of the Fourth Year Students of the Dept. of Folklore Studies at Kalapara, Patuakhali

The fourth year students of the Department of Folklore Studies came back to the campus after completing a ten-day field work at Kalapara, Patuakhali. During their stay (01.09.19 - 10.09.19) they went to the remote places of the aforementioned locality with a view to collecting numerous folkloric jewels. They collected a huge amount of folk songs, folk tales, folk rhymes, riddles, proverbs, local myths, ghost stories, folk beliefs, superstitious beliefs, information about local culture, life and living of the rustic people, folk games and so on. In order to collect these folk elements, the students had to come in close contact with the rural people. These interactions and the experiences that they gathered from the study tour will certainly help them be enriched. The group leaders will present papers on what they collected before the first year, second year and third year students on 16 September, 2019. The following are some of the photographs captured at the time of collecting folk elements.
