Seven (07) participants from 45 public universities of the country were selected among others to take part in the very competition. It’s a great pleasure to share that six (6) out of seven (7) participants are from Islamic University, Kushtia. Sakib from Finance and Banking Department finds a place in our country's Basketball Team. Tamim from Public Administration Department will play in our country’s Roll Ball team whereas Imon from Islamic History and Culture Department will play in the country's Handball Team. Plaboni Haque from Islamic History and Culture Department will compete in the High Jump event of the South Asian Games. Tamanna Aktar from the Islamic History and Culture Department will play in three events - 100 Metre Hurdles, 4×100 Metre Relay Race and 4×400 Metre Relay Race whereas Rinki Khatun from the same department will take part in two events - Long Jump and 4×100 Metre Relay Race.
Expressing best wishes for the participants (from IU), the VC of IU Professor Dr. Rashid Askari said, "We expect that all of you will illuminate our university's and country's image by winning medals. Islamic University remains and will always remain beside you."
