IU VC awarded Sheikh Hasina Padok

 

A discussion meeting bearing the title "Jano Kalyane Sheikh Hasina" followed by a cultural programme was held at the VIP seminar room of Dhaka Press Club to mark the 73rd birthday of our PM Janonetri Sheikh Hasina. Bangabandhu Peshajibi Parishad arranged this discussion meeting and award giving ceremony where Khaleda Khanom MP, Professor Dr. Rashid Askari (VC, Islamic University, Kushtia), Professor Dr. Nazmul Ahsan Kalimullah (VC, Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur), Harun-ur-Rashid Haoladar (President, Association of Upazilla Chairmans), Advocate Khondokar Shamaul Haque Reza (General Secretary, Bangladesh Krishok League) and Kaisar Hamid (Former Captain, Bangladesh Football Team) were present as special guests. In the meeting the VC of IU Professor Dr. Rashid Askari was given 'Janonetri Sheikh Hasina Award 2019' for his outstanding contribution to education sector. Other recipient of the award is Ali Neyamat (Editor, Daily Bangajanani) for his contribution to journalism. The discussion meeting and award giving ceremony was chaired by the President of Bangabandhu Peshajibi Parishad and the member of Bangladesh Krishok League central committee Md. Zahir Uddin Mabu.
