Message from the Treasurer
I have the pleasure to welcome you to the virtual world of Islamic University, the largest institution for higher education in the south-western region of Bangladesh. Situated in the greenery beside the Kushtia-Khulna highway, the university is unique in nature as it imparts quality education at tertiary level in the field of pure and applied sciences, businesses, social sciences and law with a blend of theological studies. The institution believes that the graduates of this university will be competent enough to meet the challenges of 21st century. The students will not only be academically competent but also be ethically driven and socially responsible citizens of the country.
Appointed by the Honorable President and Chancellor of the University for four years I feel heavily obliged to direct my office to perform duties and responsibilities with the utmost sincerity, capability and honesty. On the directives of the University Act this office operates all financial matters like drafting the annual budget, releasing money and its proper financing, auditing and signing all official agreements. I, together with my team, am trying our best to play the key role in financial management keeping pace with the ambitious but achievable mission of the present administration.
Apart from financial management, I feel interested and responsible to take part in all activities and share responsibilities in decision making bodies for the interest and betterment of the university. Moreover, as an academician I strongly believe that ensuring academic excellence and providing world-class education to the students is the ultimate goal of a university. And this can be achieved, I think, through the best use and management of our resources. Now Islamic University is committed to produce standard graduates and scholars, who, boosted with the dreams of ‘Sonar Bangla’ would lead Bangladesh from the front to a desired height in the prosperous digital world.
